Fancy plywood is much more expensive than ordinary commercial plywood. Generally speaking, fancy face/back veneers (exterior veneers) are about 2~6 times more expensive than ordinary wood face/back veneers (such as red hardwood veneers, Okoume veneers, red veneers, pine veneers, veneers). In order to save costs, most customers only require one side of the plywood to be faced with fancy veneers and the other side of the plywood to be faced with ordinary plywood. Fancy plywood is used where the appearance of the plywood is the most important. Therefore, fancy veneers should have beautiful grain and be of the highest grade (grade A). Fancy plywood is very flat, smooth.
